Google have created a structured data support of job listings – Google for JobsAnnounced at the I/O Conference (Input/Output) in May, Google are adding a brand-new feature to its repertoire – Google for Jobs. Offering the service to the public, the search engine aims to become the leading employment engine.Google for Jobs unique features allow candidates to see commute times to the company’s location through the job description.The search engine is teaming up with a few well-known companies, such as LinkedIn, DirectEmployers, Facebook, Glassdoor.

During the conference, Google announced that they are to go ahead with focusing on helping job seekers and employers through the collaboration. The new service is now open for all developers and site owners.

The California-based company has released a how-to guide for developers, detailing how to post jobs on the new platform.
